Knjigu Evropa ekspres pisac je odredio kao "roman u pričama", ali treba reći da se radi prevashodno o esejističko-putopisnom štivu; štaviše, najbolje stranice ovog dela upravo su one u kojima pisac pusti na volju svom "oku na putu" – štono bi rekao Mileta Prodanović – da ga vodi i da mu "bira" teme. Sastavljena od uvodne, "izvodne" i deset središnjih celina, knjiga Evropa ekspres strukturirana je fragmentarno, ali narativna crvena nit ipak postoji.
