Kao osnova za ovo izdanje poslužile su Sabrane pesme iz 1995. koje je sam Hristić, priredio za štampu. Osamanest pesama iz te knjige ovde je preštampano bez izmena izuzev što je epigraf pesme „Vladari” dat u grčkom originalu umesto latiničnom transkripcijom. Ostale pesme su iz Starih i novih pesma iz 1988, dok se pesme iz 1995. štampaju prema pesnikovom rukopisu.
