Momčilo Đujić was a Serbian Orthodox priest and Chetnik duke who led a significant part of the Chetniks in the area of northern Dalmatia and western Bosnia during the Second World War. After the invasion of Yugoslavia, as the commander of the Dinaric Division, he led the defense of the Serbs against the Croatian Ustasha regime and against communist partisans.
The Dinaric Chetnik Division was a Chetnik division that existed during World War II, composed of the local Serbian population in the NDH. It was named after the Dinari mountain.
The commander of the Dinaric Division (with about 7,000 fighters) was Duke Momčilo R. Ćujić.
The task of the Dinaric Division was to defend the Serbian people from the mass slaughters of the Ustasha regime of the Quisling Independent State of Croatia (abbr. NDH), i.e. in the areas in its operational zone. It performed this task very successfully, because even the Ustasha feared the reprisals of this most numerous unit of the Yugoslav army in the homeland. The unit spent most of the war fighting against the Ustasha and the partisans, i.e. followers of the communist movement.
