The icon is made using the lamination technique on a MDF board.
Lamination is a process in which a high-quality reproduction of an icon is applied to a solid base, in this case a MDF board, using special types of adhesives. After the glue dries, the surface of the icon can be varnished for added protection and longevity.
Mediapan is a material that, due to its smooth surface and stability, is ideal for laminating. It is resistant to deformation, which means that the icon will not lose its shape over time. In addition, mediapan is an economical material, which makes this type of icon more accessible to the general population.
Aesthetically, icons made using the lamination technique can be very close to the appearance of traditionally painted icons. High-quality prints enable clarity and precision of details, while quality coatings ensure color fastness.
These icons are suitable for different spaces - from homes to churches. Maintenance is relatively simple; it is recommended to wipe with a dry cloth and avoid exposure to direct sunlight or moisture.

St. (Great martyr) Dimitri (November 8)
Saint Dimitri is regarded as the protector of the city of Thessaloniki. This city has been miraculously rescued from the invaders many times. The people of Thessaloniki attributed such a sudden God's help to the prayers to St. Dimitri. At a time when the Serbs were pagan they attacked this city with the hope of taking it and plundering it. What happened was that the invaders were defeated by right hand of God and the prayers to St. Dimitri. Such miraculous deliverance in its own way contributed to the entrapping of the faith of the citizens of Thessaloniki and the faith of Saint Dimitri. Saint Dimitri is today a patron of two important cities in Serbia. These are Sremska and Kosovska Mitrovica.
Saint Dimitri is considered Protector of Thessaloniki, because he saved the city from the enemy army; the healer of the sick and the poor. The Russians also celebrate him and consider him the patron and protector of Siberia. All Orthodox Christians and faithful glories of this great scholar believing in his healing powers that have helped many.
