Djurdjic is a Christian and national holiday celebrated on November 16, commemorating the memory of the transfer of the remains of St. George and the restoration of his temple where his body was laid.
St. George is most often represented on icons on horse, in the Duke's suit, as he kills a dragon. On icons for the feast of Djurdjic, he is presented as a "pedestrian": without a horse, in a standing posture and with a spear or sword in his hand.
