Rosaries
Prayer using rosaries is one of the oldest ways of prayer, which was especially cherished by Orthodox monks. The rosaries themselves have a symbolic character. Rosary beads are woven from pure sheep's wool, which reminds us that we are the literal sheep of the Good Shepherd of the Lord Christ, who himself as the Lamb of God suffered for us and saved us from eternal death. Small rosaries usually have 33 knots. There are also larger rosaries of 50, 100 or 300 knots.
