The miniature is made of plaster, hand-worked and hand-painted.

Gornjak Monastery is located in Gornjačka Gorge, between Žagubica and Petrovac na Mlavi. The construction of the monastery was completed in 1380 and the patron was Prince Lazar.
Ever since the monastery was built, the monastic life in it has been going on without interruption. The oldest preserved buildings are the main church dedicated to the Presentation, and a small chapel in the cave, dedicated to St. Nicholas. In its architectural ensemble, the Gornjak Monastery belongs to the Moravian school.
