      Azbuka - Serbian Cyrillic alphabet
In the first half of the 19th century, Serbian linguist Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic devised a 30-letter Cyrillic alphabet in which each letter had its own voice. It was named after the first two letters AZ and BUKI, AZBUKA. Until then, literary Serbian was Slavic, written in Russian, and more complicated to learn.
It was recognized as an official alphabet in Serbia only in 1868.

Original handmade plaque / wall relief.
Made of hard cast material, painted with acrylic paints, patinated and varnished with acrylic lacquer.
The cast is made in a handmade mold. The process of making and processing the casting is adapted to the rustic souvenir look.
The souvenir and the mold are the works of Dragan Vujnovic.
