On that day, the Lord Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead, defeated death, and gave all eternal life to all the people from Adam and Eve to the last man on earth. In the whole Christian world, even with us Serbs, this custom is associated with giving eggs. The egg is a symbol of renewal of nature and life. Easter red egg means joy for both those who give it and who receive it.
