As it is tied to the spindle and horsetail, people have always associated it with Judges, more precisely, it was believed that Mokosh spins the threads of a person's destiny and decides on life and death.
From this belief, the custom of tying a red thread around the arms of babies remains - as a request to Mokosh to protect them from evil.
